The Arctic circle area is an exiting area that stretches from Træna, far out at the coast of Norway, to the Tärna mountains in Sweden.
Starting in Mo i Rana, you can experience exciting archipelago- and ocean activities, or high mountains and glaciers like Svartisen and Okstindan.
The activities range from: all year fishing in lakes, rivers or in the ocean, hiking, rock climbing, island hopping, glacier walks and caving in Grønligrotta or Setergrotta. You can also go sailing, kayaking or rafting.
Cultural experiences with museums, festivals, happenings and happy people.
Wintersports with arenas for Alpine, Telemark and Snowboard, arenas for skijumping , cross country skiing and biathlon. You can also do peak trips, ice fishing or go snowmobilcrossing in an alpine landscape.

Festivals and events in Norway, Mo i Rana, Træna, Hemnes
The festival area. The Arctic Circle area and the northern part of Helgeland is without a doubt en of Norways best festival and cultural areas. All over the area there are big and small festivals and events all year. But the summer is of course the best season for those who like good music, local food and nice people in beautiful scenery. During summer three of Norhtern Norways biggest and best festival are held here. This is the Trenafestival, Vikafestival and Hemnes Jazz. Beside these three there are also a lot of other good festivals in the area both at the coast and the inland.
